Day 01: Arrival in Trivandrum – Transfer to Kanyakumari & Local Sightseeing
Morning:
Arrive at Trivandrum International Airport or railway station. You will be met and transferred to Kanyakumari, a distance of approximately 110 km, taking around 3.5 hours by road.
Afternoon:
Check into your hotel in Kanyakumari and freshen up. Start your sightseeing with a visit to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, located on a small island and dedicated to Swami Vivekananda. The memorial offers breathtaking views where the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and the Bay of Bengal converge. Next, visit the Thiruvalluvar Statue, a towering tribute to the Tamil poet and philosopher.
Evening:
Enjoy a stunning sunset at Kanyakumari, where you can witness the sun setting into the ocean from the southernmost tip of India. Optional: Visit the Kanyakumari Beach for a serene evening stroll. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kanyakumari.
Day 02: Kanyakumari to Rameswaram via Thiruchendur
Morning:
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Rameswaram, covering a distance of about 320 km (7 hours) by road. En route, stop at the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, known for its picturesque coastal location and historical significance.
Afternoon:
Arrive in Rameswaram and check in at your hotel. Refresh and relax.
Evening:
Visit the Pamban Bridge, an engineering marvel connecting Rameswaram Island to the mainland. The bridge offers spectacular views of the Palk Strait and the surrounding landscape. Optionally, visit the Ariyaman Beach for a tranquil evening. Overnight stay at the hotel in Rameswaram.
Day 03: Rameswaram to Madurai – Temple and Sightseeing
Early Morning:
Begin your day with a visit to the Ramanathaswamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and known for its grand architecture and sacredness. After a dip at Agni Theertham, proceed to Dhanushkodi, a deserted town with mythological significance. Explore the Gandhamadhana Parvatham, believed to have Lord Rama’s footprint.
Mid-Morning:
Return to the hotel for breakfast and then check out. Drive to Madurai, approximately 180 km (4.5 hours) away. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel in Madurai.
Evening:
Relax and enjoy the evening at leisure. Optionally, explore the local markets or visit the Vaigai River for a calm experience. Overnight stay at the hotel in Madurai.
Day 04: Madurai Local Sightseeing
Morning:
After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Madurai. Visit the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple, a major pilgrimage site and architectural marvel. Explore the Temple Art Museum within the temple premises. Continue to the Puthu Mandapam, an ancient hall with intricate carvings and a bustling marketplace.

Day 05: Madurai Sightseeing & Departure

Transfer to Madurai airport or railway station for your onward journey, concluding your tour.
