The temple compound holds the samadhis of several of the original Goswamis and is closely associated with Srila Rupa Goswami’s bhajan kutir (meditation hut), making it an important stop for pilgrims tracing Vrindavan’s founding spiritual lineage. Radha Damodar Temple sits at an elevation of 176 m and is typically explored in about 30-60 minutes. The most favourable months to visit are February, November, December, and October, when conditions are best suited for sightseeing. Nearby points of interest include Seva Kunja, Ancient Banyan Tree, and Samadhi of Srila Jiva Goswami. Other notable highlights include jiva Goswami’s original samadhi shrine inside courtyard, ancient Tulsi wood deities of Radha and Damodar, and seva Kunj’s quiet lane approach, shaded and calm. It falls within Mathura district and Uttar Pradesh, India.

Photography is not allowed inside the main shrine, but you can take pictures in the outer courtyard. You can buy flowers, garlands, and sweets from the many shops just outside the temple gate, and the prasad (like peda or kheer) can be offered at the altar and later distributed.
The temple has a few steps at the entrance, but once inside, the courtyard is flat and walkable. There are basic restrooms nearby and some shaded seating areas in the courtyard, but no wheelchairs are available, so bring a companion if you need assistance.
The temple is open from 5:00 AM to 12:30 PM and again from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM daily. There is no strict dress code, but modest attire covering shoulders and knees is recommended, and you must remove your shoes before entering the sanctum.
The main aarti is the evening shringar aarti at around 7:00 PM, which is very popular. Major festivals like Janmashtami, Radhashtami, and Holi draw large crowds, so if you prefer a quieter visit, avoid these dates and come on a weekday morning.
The temple is about 2.5 km from the Vrindavan bus stand and 3 km from the Mathura Junction railway station. You can take an auto-rickshaw or cycle-rickshaw for around ₹50-₹100, or walk if you are comfortable with a 30-minute stroll through the narrow lanes.
