Karnataka Shakti Peeta Tour Package 6 Days Itinerary

Day 01: Bangalore – Kollur

Our journey begins as our representative picks you up from Bangalore for a scenic drive to Kollur, a revered temple town nestled at the foot of the Kodachadri hills in the Western Ghats. Famous for the Mookambika Temple on the southern bank of the Souparnika River, Kollur is recognized as one of the Shakti Peetas and Mukti places in India. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and then visit the renowned Mookambika Temple. The temple features a swayambhu (self-born) jyotirlinga that embodies the forms of Trimurti and Trishakti. The goddess is represented as a four-armed panchaloha idol on a Shri Chakra, believed to be consecrated by Adi Shankaracharya. After exploring the temple, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

 Day 02: Kollur – Maranakatte – Kamalashile – Shankaranarayana – Sringeri

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel, then check out and proceed to Maranakatte to visit the Shri Brahmalingeshwara Temple, situated along the banks of the Brahmakunda River. According to the Skanda Purana, Goddess Mookambika performed a Marana Homa here, leading to the deification of the demon Mookasura as Brahmalingeshwara. Next, visit the Kamalashile Brahmi Durgaparameshwari Temple, located by the Kubja River, where the goddess is worshipped in the form of a Linga. Enjoy the midday pooja, followed by a delicious lunch served as prasadam in the temple dining hall. En route to Sringeri, stop at the Shankaranarayana Temple, a Mukti place created by Lord Parashurama, where both Shiva and Vishnu are worshipped in the form of Lingas. Enjoy the picturesque scenery of Agumbe Ghat. Arrive in Sringeri, check in to your hotel, and rest for the night.

 Day 03: Sringeri – Hariharapur – Shakatapuram – Horanadu

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Hariharapura, home to the Adi Shankaracharya Sharada Lakshmi Narasimha Peeta, a significant Mutt dedicated to Goddess Sharadamba along the Tunga River. Next, visit Shakatapuram, a spiritual haven with a 600-year-old Mutt named Shri Vidya Peetam. Following this, proceed to Horanadu, renowned for its captivating natural beauty and the ancient Annapoorneshwari Temple, also known as Adhishakthyathmaka Shree Annapoorneshwari. The main deity, crafted in gold, is believed to ensure that devotees never face food scarcity. Upon arrival in Horanadu, check in to your hotel and visit the Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple for prayers and prasadam (dinner). Overnight stay at the hotel.

 Day 04: Horanadu – Kalasa – Belur – Halebid – Mysore

Start your day with breakfast, then check out and head to the Kalaseshwara Temple in Kalasa, located on the banks of the Bhadra River. The Shiva Linga here is said to have been installed by Sage Agasthya. After receiving blessings, drive to Belur to visit the Chennakesava Temple, an exemplary Hoysala architectural marvel. Next, visit Halebid, known for its intricate Hoysala temples, particularly the Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples. Conclude the day with a drive to Mysore, check in to your hotel, and enjoy an overnight stay.

 Day 05: Mysore – Srirangapatna – Bangalore

After breakfast, check out from your Mysore hotel and visit Chamundi Hills for the blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari. Next, drive to Srirangapatna to explore the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, a significant pilgrimage site in Sri Vaishnavism along the Kaveri River. Continue to Nimishamba Temple, where Goddess Nimishamba is worshipped along with the sacred Shri Chakra at the confluence of the Kaveri and Lokapavani rivers. It is believed that the goddess alleviates her devotees’ problems in just a minute. After the visit, return to Bangalore, where you will be dropped off at a designated location. The tour concludes with cherished memories of the Karnataka Shakti Peeta Tour Package.
