Karnataka Temple Tour Package 6 Days Itinerary

Day 01: Bangalore to Kukke Subrahmanya

Our representative will pick you up from Bangalore and drive to Kukke Subrahmanya, a prominent religious destination surrounded by lush forests and hills along the banks of the Kumaradhara River. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and later visit the temples in Kukke Subrahmanya. Start with the Adi Subrahmanya temple, famous for its unique anthill in the sanctum, and then proceed to the main temple dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya and the snake god Vasuki. Explore smaller shrines such as the Uma Maheshwara Temple, Samputa Narasimha Temple, Hosaligamma, and Kukke Lingas. Visit the ancient Kashikatte Ganapathi Temple, home to a Ganapathi idol installed by sage Narada, and the impressive 21-foot monolithic statue of Ganapathi, designed in Nepali style. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

 Day 02: Kukke Subrahmanya to Udupi (Via Dharmasthala, Sri Rama Kshetra, and Kateel)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Southadka Ganapathi Kshetra, dedicated to Vana Mahaganapathi, set in a beautiful natural landscape. Next, head to Dharmasthala, a holy site for Hindus, and visit the renowned Lord Manjunathaswamy Temple for darshan. Continue your journey to Rathnagiri to see the statue of Bhagawan Bahubali and visit Sri Rama Kshetra, located by the Nethravathi River. After exploring these sacred sites, proceed to Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple, situated on the banks of the Nandini River. After seeking blessings, drive to Udupi, one of Karnataka’s important Mukti stalas. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and visit the famous Sri Krishna Temple, along with nearby Anantheshwara and Chandramouleshwara temples. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 Day 03: Udupi to Gokarna

Enjoy breakfast before checking out of the hotel. Visit the Kadiyali Mahisha Mardhini Temple, followed by the Ambalapady Janardhana and Mahakali temples in Udupi. Then, proceed to Saligrama Narasimhaswami Temple and Anegudde Ganapathi Temple. Afterward, drive to Gokarna, an important pilgrimage center in Uttara Kannada district, known as Siddhi Kshetra and one of Karnataka’s seven Mukti Kshetras. Visit the Mahabaleshwara Temple, believed to house the original Atmalinga given by Lord Shiva to King Ravana. Check into your hotel upon arrival in Gokarna, and enjoy a relaxing evening at the nearby beach to watch a spectacular sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 Day 04: Gokarna to Kollur (Via Idagunji and Murudeshwara)

Early risers can visit the Gokarna Ganapathi Temple, where the statue bears a small wound inflicted by the demon king Ravana. Then, visit the sacred Sri Mahabaleshwara Temple, home to the Atma Linga of Lord Shiva, and the Tamra Gowri Temple before returning to the hotel for breakfast. After check-out, drive to Idagunji, renowned for its ancient Ganapathi Temple with a central icon dating back to the 4th-5th century CE. Next, proceed to Murudeshwara, famous for the world’s second-tallest Shiva statue and the Murudeshwara Temple located on Kanduka Hill, surrounded by the Arabian Sea. After visiting the temple, drive to Kollur. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and visit the Mookambika Temple, where the panchaloha image of the goddess was consecrated by Shri Adi Shankaracharya.  Day 05: Kollur to Horanadu (Via Shankaranarayana and Sringeri)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Sringeri, stopping en route at the Shankaranarayana Temple, known for its unique worship of both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Enjoy the picturesque views of Agumbe Ghat during your drive. Upon reaching Sringeri, visit the Sri Sharadamba Temple and the Vidya Shankara Temple, an architectural marvel.  Day 06: Horanadu to Bangalore (Via Kalasa, Belur, and Halebid)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and visit the Kalaseshwara Temple situated on the banks of the Bhadra River, believed to have been installed by Sage Agasthya. Next, proceed to Belur to explore the Chennakesava Temple, a stunning example of Hoysala architecture. Finally, visit Halebid, home to exquisite temples showcasing the best of Hoysala art, particularly the Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples. After your explorations, drive back to Bangalore.
