Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kaziranga (240 km/5 hrs)
Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and driven directly to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Assam’s Golaghat district. Famous for the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, Kaziranga is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna spread across an area of approximately 430 square kilometers. Enjoy your overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Day 2: Explore Kaziranga (80 km/8 hrs)
Start your day with an early morning elephant safari through the dense forests of Kaziranga, allowing you to get up close to the wildlife. In the afternoon, continue your adventure with a jeep safari. Additionally, explore nearby attractions such as the orchid gardens, tea gardens, hilly streams, and ethnic village models. Savor authentic Assamese cuisine during your stay. You’ll spend the night in Kaziranga.
Day 3: Journey to Majuli (135 km/4 hrs)
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a journey to Majuli, the first island district of India, located in the middle of the Brahmaputra River. This expansive island covers around 1,250 square kilometers. En route, you may have the opportunity to meet Padma Shri Jadav Payeng, known as the “Forest Man of India,” who single-handedly transformed a barren wasteland into a thriving forest. Upon arrival in Majuli, enjoy local sightseeing before settling in for the night.
Day 4: Majuli Sightseeing (80 km/7 hrs)
Majuli, a vast river island, offers more than just scenic beauty. It’s a cultural hub, renowned for its Vaishnavite monasteries, tribal villages, and vibrant traditions. Spend your day exploring the island on a cycle trip, immersing yourself in its rich heritage. Visitors from around the world are drawn to Majuli for its unique charm, often staying for extended periods. Enjoy another night on this captivating island.
Day 5: Majuli to Guwahati (375 km/9 hrs)
After wrapping up your sightseeing in Majuli, you’ll travel back to Guwahati. In the evening, unwind with a serene river cruise on the Brahmaputra. Overnight accommodation will be provided in Guwahati.
Day 6: Guwahati Sightseeing and Departure (100 km/7 hrs)
On your final day, explore some of Guwahati’s top attractions, including the revered Kamakhya Temple, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakhetra, Balaji Temple, and the picturesque Deepor Beel. Afterward, you’ll be dropped off at the airport for your onward journey, concluding your memorable tour.
