Day 1: Arrival and Journey to Shillong (100 km/4 hrs)
Your adventure begins as we greet you at the LGBI Airport in Guwahati. From there, we embark on a scenic drive to Shillong, often referred to as the “Scotland of the East” due to its captivating weather and lush landscapes. En route, we’ll make a stop at the serene Umiam Lake, where you can soak in the picturesque surroundings. The journey continues through pine-covered hills and valleys, offering glimpses of the region’s natural beauty. Upon arrival in Shillong, you will check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Shillong Sightseeing (80 km/8 hrs)
Day two is dedicated to exploring Shillong and its outskirts. Our sightseeing tour includes visits to iconic spots such as Wards Lake, known for its peaceful ambiance; the cascading Elephant Falls; Lady Hydari Park, a manicured garden with a mini zoo; and the Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of Northeast India. After a day of exploration, you will return to your hotel for another night in Shillong.
Day 3: Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Transfer to Cherrapunji (245 km/9 hrs)
On the third day, we head towards Mawlynnong, famed as the cleanest village in Asia. Here, you’ll marvel at the living root bridge, a natural wonder crafted by the roots of ancient trees. Following this, we proceed to Dawki, a border town known for the crystal-clear Umngot River, where you can enjoy a boat ride, and the historic Dawki Suspension Bridge, built by the British in 1932. The day concludes with a drive to Cherrapunji, where you’ll settle in for the night, ready for the trekking adventures ahead.
Day 4: Trekking Adventure in Cherrapunji (25 km/8 hrs)
Day four is dedicated to trekking, offering an immersive experience in Cherrapunji’s rugged landscapes. The trek covers approximately 8 to 10 kilometers over 8 hours, taking you through the verdant Khasi Hills. Highlights include trekking to the Umunoi Living Root Bridge, the awe-inspiring Double Decker Root Bridge, and the Umkar Root Bridges. As you trek, you’ll also pass through quaint villages, providing a glimpse into local life. After a day of adventure, you’ll return to Cherrapunji for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Cherrapunji Sightseeing (60 km/7 hrs)
The fifth day is reserved for exploring the natural wonders of Cherrapunji. You’ll visit the mysterious Mawsmai Caves, the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls, and the panoramic Seven Sister Falls. The tour also includes visits to additional living root bridges and local villages, where you can savor the unique Khasi cuisine. After a full day of sightseeing, you’ll spend your last night in Cherrapunji.
Day 6: Return to Guwahati and Departure (190 km/6 hrs)
On the final day, we’ll drive back to Guwahati, with an airport drop scheduled to ensure timely departure. If time allows, we can explore some of Guwahati’s attractions, including the revered Kamakhya Temple, the tranquil Umananda Island, and the mighty Brahmaputra River. Finally, we’ll bid you farewell as you board your flight, concluding your memorable Shillong Cherrapunji Trekking tour.

- Hotels for each category are selected as per the budget and through our feedback system.
- There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
